Beauty That Never Fails No Matter How Many Times She Falls.

Former Miss Bohol 2017 and pageant veteran Pauline Amelinckx is returning to the Miss Universe Philippines (MUPh) 2023 stage for her third and final attempt for the crown. 

Prior to joining Miss Universe Philippines, she represented Bohol at Mutya ng Pilipinas 2018 on September 16, 2018, and competed against 49 other candidates at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. She ranked fourth, winning the title Mutya ng Pilipinas Global Beauty Queen 2018. She was supposed to represent the Philippines at Global Beauty Queen 2018 in South Korea, which should have been her first international beauty pageant, but it was canceled due to the tension in the Middle East at the time.

After two years, Miss Amelinckx joined the prestigious Miss Universe Philippines 2020 where she ranked third and was won by Rabiya Mateo. Honestly, I was one of those who predicted that Miss Amelinckz would take home the crown but it was everybody's game. 

For the second time, Pauline vied once again on the said pageant on April 30, 2022, where she represented Bohol at Miss Universe Philippines 2022 which took place at SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. Pauline competed with 30 other candidates and bagged as third runner-up, winning the non-competing title of Miss Universe Philippines Charity 2022.

On the night of February 18, 2023, Pauline was announced as one of the Top 40 by the organization of  Miss Universe Philippines 2023. When I watched her video where she was interviewed by Miss Dyan Castillejo, she mentioned that  “A lot of people asked me if this was a last-minute decision. but I had been pondering on this for months, [to be honest]. I talked to those I trust and those dear to me. and all the while still receiving sweet and supportive messages [from so] many people,” she said. “I trust my gut feeling. and I feel like I could still step up, bring people together for meaningful causes, and be [transformed] myself.” This (quote) really inspires people that you have to rise up every time you fall because there is always hope and opportunity that awaits us. 

Adding to that, “That realization of me being able to once again step on the MUPh stage, even on my 3rd attempt, with so much love from others, makes me feel incredibly grateful, humbled, and more driven. Thank You, for this opportunity to grow and do more meaningful things with meaningful people, to transform and be transformed me,” she said. She also thanked her fans for supporting her which makes her more driven this time.
