Tyson Venegas Received the American Idol Platinum Ticket!

Another Filipino blood got an international recognition in the field of singing! Filipino-Canadian Tyson Venegas surprisingly received the American Idol Platinum ticket (The Platinum Ticket was introduced in 2022 in celebration of the talent show's 20th anniversary, which allows the recipient to skip through the first round of performances and go straight to Hollywood) upon auditioning on the said show. Judges' "wows" his performance and Katy Perry even said she never felt goosebumps for a long time but now!

Beauty That Never Fails No Matter How Many Times She Falls.

Former Miss Bohol 2017 and pageant veteran Pauline Amelinckx is returning to the Miss Universe Philippines (MUPh) 2023 stage for her third and final attempt for the crown.
Prior to joining Miss Universe Philippines, she represented Bohol at Mutya ng Pilipinas 2018 on September 16, 2018, and competed against 49 other candidates at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. She ranked fourth, winning the title Mutya ng Pilipinas Global Beauty Queen 2018. She was supposed to represent the Philippines at Global Beauty Queen 2018 in South Korea, which should have been her first international beauty pageant, but it was canceled due to the tension in the Middle East at the time.
After two years, Miss Amelinckx joined the prestigious Miss Universe Philippines 2020 where she ranked third and was won by Rabiya Mateo. Honestly, I was one of those who predicted that Miss Amelinckz would take home the crown but it was everybody's game.
For the second time, Pauline vied once again on the said pageant on April 30, 2022, where she represented Bohol at Miss Universe Philippines 2022 which took place at SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. Pauline competed with 30 other candidates and bagged as third runner-up, winning the non-competing title of Miss Universe Philippines Charity 2022.
On the night of February 18, 2023, Pauline was announced as one of the Top 40 by the organization of Miss Universe Philippines 2023. When I watched her video where she was interviewed by Miss Dyan Castillejo, she mentioned that “A lot of people asked me if this was a last-minute decision. but I had been pondering on this for months, [to be honest]. I talked to those I trust and those dear to me. and all the while still receiving sweet and supportive messages [from so] many people,” she said. “I trust my gut feeling. and I feel like I could still step up, bring people together for meaningful causes, and be [transformed] myself.” This (quote) really inspires people that you have to rise up every time you fall because there is always hope and opportunity that awaits us.
Adding to that, “That realization of me being able to once again step on the MUPh stage, even on my 3rd attempt, with so much love from others, makes me feel incredibly grateful, humbled, and more driven. Thank You, for this opportunity to grow and do more meaningful things with meaningful people, to transform and be transformed me,” she said. She also thanked her fans for supporting her which makes her more driven this time.

Miss Tourism International 2010 celebrating it's 14th edition of the beauty pageant is scheduled to be held on January 2, 2011 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The reigning Miss Tourism International 2009, Sarah Elzanowski (photo above) will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Cook Islands wins Miss South Pacific 2010
Miss Cook Islands Joyana Meyer was crowned the 2010 Miss South Pacific by 2009 Miss Fiji/Miss South Pacific Merewalesi Nailatikau in Papua New Guinea.
Ms Meyer is a Bachelors (Hons) Mechatronic Engineering student at Auckland University.
She also won the Best Sarong, Best Talent and Photogenic awards while Miss Tonga Mafi Tuinukuafe scooped two awards: she won the Best Traditional wear & Best Friendship/Personality.
Miss Aotearoa (NZ) took the Tourism award apart from the First Runner-up while Second Runner-up, Miss Samoa was declared Miss Internet.
Miss Hawaii, Pomaikai Klein was named Miss Elegance.
Miss Fiji Sera Tikotikovatu was named the third runner-up.
The 23 year old finished behind Miss Cook Islands, Miss Aotearoa (NZ) and Miss Samoa.
The 2011 Miss South Pacific Pageant will be held in Apia, Samoa, in November.

The first ever Bride of the World pageant was held in Singapore on December 9th. Winner is Luisa Beltran of Philippines. Runner-ups came from Bolivia, Ukraine, Russia, and Peru. The semi-finalists were Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Denmark, Korea, Germany, Moldova, Estonia, Lithuania, Malta and Romania.
Bruno Kettels, Mister International 2009, tried to help as an interpreter for the Spanish speaking candidates, however, he could nor understand the questions in English, or properly translate their answers! Miss Philippines, the only finalist who spoke English, became the eventual winner. It’s important to point out that the Filipino beauty did not win only because of the her interview. Her beauty and elegance impressed everyone throughout the competition.
